On the 24th May three classes, (rooms 10, 11 and 12) went to the Hawke's Bay company called Furnware. It was amazing to see the deeper meaning of the chairs and tables that we never give a second thought about. We heard about this in the history of Furnware! That was a lot more fun then you’ll realize, (with some funny comments from the boys). I wanted it to last forever, but time flies and I was excited that the next one was starting.
The next part of the tour was the design stage! We had to design a table and the winner gets it made! Quickly we got into groups of fives. Lily, Keira, Rainnah, Paige, and I. Together we designed a rain drop whiteboard table. I was sad when we ran out of time and it was time to go to the next part of the tour!
Finally, we were up to the factory tour; the tour was so big they had to split us up into three parts. My group started with the middle part then the start, finally the end. We were also given a piece of paper with some questions on it that we had to answer.
When the factory tour was over I finally hit me that the Furnware tour was over. But there is one more thing left to do, thank the tour guides. Jakub from room 12 got to do that. After that, we really had to go.
Remembering to say thanks on the way out, we hopped on the bus and we were gone.
